Escorting him toward the rocket is not really hard, but mostly just tedious. The gnome can be found below one of the bunk beds in the communication room. Use your Gravity Gun to pull it towards you and the achievement will unlock. When you go outside at the end of the tunnel, there is a single Zombine who will pull out a grenade. Upon crawling through a hole in a tunnel you will turn right and come to a large hole in the ground where some zombies are waiting.
